Thanks to the External Monitoring Collectors, you can consolidate on one unique monitoring portal in the cloud, your different on-premise monitoring platforms built from VMware vRrealize Operations (vROPs), Nagios, Centreon, Zabbix, XY-Mon, Splunk, etc … in a few minutes.
These specific collectors, that run on your fdmon Proxy Servers, act as gateways between most popular monitoring solutions of the market and fdmon cloud. You retrieve all monitored resources on the fdmon cloud repository and can organize them like any other resource monitored directly by fdmon cloud.
You just have to provide IP/FQDN and credentials or token/API key of each monitoring platform, then, all monitoring operations will be managed from fdmon cloud.
This feature is useful for customers who want to keep using their legacy monitoring environment while migrating the monitoring to fdmon cloud, but also for IT Infrastructure Management companies who want to exploit immediately heterogeneous monitoring platforms of their customers through a standardized interface and without any requirement in terms of connectivity to the customers platforms.
For very specific or proprietary monitoring solutions, you can, of course, develop your own collector and the corresponding analytics code from the fdmon Analytics Studio.
Conversely, fdmon Web Services allow you to interact with fdmon cloud from Nagios or any other monitoring solution, through the Proxy Servers.
fdmon cloud brings an extra brick to the creativity in the field of monitoring solutions.
